Steve Puckett founded TekCom Computer in 2009 after more than a decade in technical support roles — first as a support representative and mentor at Stream International, then climbing to systems administrator at AccuNet Consulting, and finally serving as an application support analyst at Vizient, Inc., where he supported reporting and analytics tools deployed across client environments.
That progression — front-line support, sysadmin, application analyst — is the foundation of how TekCom operates today. Steve has spent time on every side of the help desk, which means clients get a partner who can troubleshoot a stuck mailbox migration, design a network from scratch, and translate either of those things into language a non-technical owner can act on.
Steve is a Microsoft Certified Professional and an active member of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce and the Richardson-Plano Professionals Network. He lives in Wylie, Texas.
How We Work
TekCom is intentionally small. Steve is the technician on every account — there is no junior tech queue, no offshore tier-one team, and no one else learning your environment on your dime. That structure has tradeoffs, and we’re upfront about them: we operate during standard business hours, we’re not the right fit for organizations that need staffed 24/7 support, and we cap our client load to make sure every account gets real attention. In exchange, you get an IT partner who actually remembers your network, recognizes your team by name, and doesn’t have to re-learn your environment every time you submit a ticket.
Memberships & partnerships
TekCom Computer is a member of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce and the Richardson-Plano Professionals Network. We maintain active partnerships with leading providers of managed antivirus, advanced threat protection, encrypted backup, email security, and password management — selected and configured around each client’s tier.
